Be an IPS 2025 Volunteer – Face to Face with Something New. Are you in?
This summer, you have the chance to be part of an unforgettable experience: the International Program in Scenography 2025, 4th edition, taking place August 25 – September 7, 2025.
Organized by the Romanian Center of OISTAT (International Organisation of Scenographers, Theatre Architects and Technicians), IPS is the only international artistic residency in Romania dedicated to scenography and site-specific installations.
IPS brings together 20 emerging artists and students from 12 countries (set designers, light designers, sound designers, architects, choreographers, directors, performers from Romania, Italy, Mexico, UK, Ukraine, Germany, Georgia, Poland, USA, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan) and 5 international mentors for two weeks in Ovidiu, Constanța.
This year’s theme is “Face to Face. Who is the Other?” — it’s all about real encounters, creativity, identity, and spaces coming to life.
From August 26 to September 6, 2025, we’re looking for young people passionate about art, theatre, culture, or event organizing — those curious to discover how an international artistic residency works, to meet top mentors, and to take part in creating a real event, from the ground up to the Final Gala on September 6, 2025.
We have four volunteering opportunities:

Creativity Flow Keeper – support for participants and mentors

Wonder Buddy – support for the children’s workshop (second week of IPS: September 1–6, 2025)

Tech Whisperer – support for the technical team

Crisis Dodger – support for the organizing team

You’ll be helping artists, working with the technical crew, assisting mentors at children’s workshops, or supporting the organizing team — you choose what fits you best.
We’ll do our best to create a flexible schedule so you can explore more than one area, but we also need to ensure every role is covered. That’s why we ask you to select just one option in the form.
Don’t worry — we’ll coordinate together so that every volunteer gets to fully enjoy the IPS experience.
